Making a Referral

Referrals can be made for individuals or families who live within the TW postcodes. Referrals can be made for a wide range of circumstances.

Referring a client

If you are a referrer and wish to refer a client, please click on the relevant button below to complete the referral form. Please read carefully all information given on the referral form and complete all the sections, incomplete forms may cause unnecessary delay.

The client will not undergo any further assessment by us on their initial referral, as we believe your professional opinion is enough, but from time to time we might contact you to confirm information.

Please note: we are currently taking referrals from TW postcodes only. However, if there is a closer foodbank to your client's address please refer your client there. Referral decisions are made every week on a Monday, so please be pateint in awaiting our decision and communication before sending your client to us.

Once you have submitted the form, if accepted, we will be in contact with you or the client to confirm when and where to collect food from. Please don't send your client down until it has been confirmed by us, as we need to carefully monitor numbers in the building. This referral form will entitle the client to 6 food visits. If they still require assistance after this they will need to obtain another referral. We are able to help with children’s clothing and equipment. Please indicate whether clothes are needed.

Re-Referrals

Re-referrals can be made if a client is still struggling and their circumstances have not changed. However, we can only take re-referral after 6 months have elapsed from the date of their last referral - this is largely so that we can manage demand on the food bank. Thank you for your understanding in this.

Storehouse is meant to be used as a short term basis only, but we do appreciate that people with more complex circumstances may need further assistance.
