Please see some of the Facebook and other links below for active information in local communities affected by the recent flooding.

There are a number of voluntary groups set up locally so if you have lots of people who want to help they can also volunteer via these groups. Most are on Facebook groups so people can keep people up to date with sandbag deliveries, who needs help and where.


Also they can contact the local borough council to volunteer at the various rest centres or provide specific help depending on their skill sets. This is important for those the council know to be vulnerable but don't have access to the internet. The borough councils mainly affected are:

The Salvation Army at Woodthorpe Road, Ashford 01784 423424 are the main centre for drop off of food donations, welly boots, clothing, disinfectant etc. it's also manned by volunteers. Call ahead to check when they are open.
